Camp Site Description

Britannia Park is a large forest in the “Shfela”- the Judean foothills.

‘Shfela’ is a hebrew word for lowlands. Shfelat Yehuda is an area of sloping hills stretching below the Judean Mountains towards the coastal plain. The hills range between a height of 200m to 350m.

Most of the park is covered by a forest planted and maintained by the JNF-KKL since the 1950’s.

The forest is a lovley habitat with a large array of indiginous trees of Israel, such as carob, pistacia, pines, olives, oaks and more.

The Srigim campsite is located in the heart of Britannia Park.

The campsite is a great starting point to explore the forest and its wonders.

Israel National Trail passes through this site, which makes it a popular overnight stop for INT hikers.
